This brand was originally sold on the streets of New Orleans after the civil war. Eventually a factory was built in the French Quarter and by the turn of the century the shoes were sold internationally. Fast forward to 1985 and the business closed. But a descendant of the original owner has worked tirelessly to bring back the Rex brand. What a history!
